If you like Porsches old or new; rear, front or mid engined, you'll be welcome in the Porsche Club. The PCNSW is a very active club, with over 900 members.
What does the Club do?
Club activities fall into three main areas: meeting nights, social outings and competitive events.
Meeting Nights
On the second Tuesday of every month, the Club holds a meeting at Scuderia Veloce Porsche Centre Willoughby at which various presentations are provided for members covering all aspects of Porsche motor cars and various associated topics of interest. Please see our Events pages to discover what our next meeting holds.
Social Outings
These are usually Breakfast and Lunch runs to locations within a couple of hours drive of central Sydney. The exact format may vary, but these events are always popular. Once again, details of upcoming social outings can be found on our Events pages, and photos of these outings can be found in the Gallery.
Technical Events
These are special events where members get to go behind the scenes on a Porsche or related technology. A Tech Event usually involves members being briefed on the particular nature and development of a type of Porsche (for example the Boxster) as well as practical tips on maintenance and the opportunity to see the inner workings of their car, as well as gaining a greater appreciation for the level of engineering that goes in to building one of these cars. Other forms of Tech Event deal with related technologies in areas such as the maintenance of your cars style and character through performance enhancements as well as paint protection, cleaning and the like.
Competitive Events
Competitive events consist of two different styles of event:
Motokhana - tests of driving skill, conducted in and out of witches hats and times against the clock. Great fun, surprisingly demanding and totally safe - you'll never get out of first gear!
Super Sprints - where you'll be racing against the clock (not other cars) at circuits like Eastern Creek and Oran Park. Super Sprints are great fun, a great way to develop your high speed driving skills. Driver training is also part of the program ...and best of all, there isn't a speed camera to be found!
That's not all...
As well, the Club organises an annual concours, where cars are judged on presentation and condition.
Annually the Porsche Club of NSW runs the WOTY (Weekend Of The Year), a fully featured event which takes place, as the name implies, over a weekend in July at which Motorkhana and SuperSprint events are undertaken, as well as a sumptious dinner, truly an event you'll want to attend.
Also every few years, we get together with Porsche people from clubs all around Australia at our National meeting ... always a wonderful mix of sporting and social activity, staying in quality venues in successive States.
Finally, to let you know what's happening, we publish a magazine every second month, with a newsletter every other month.

Info: Fitting a set of wheels with the correct offset is most important. Yet, because there are two commonly used (but different) methods for measuring offset, much confusion reigns.
At Speedy Wheels we understand both the "backspace method" and the "centreline method", so a short explanation of each may assist you in selecting the correct offset wheels.
Backspace Method: Measure from the inside rim edge to the high point of the bolt hub. Distance "A" in millimetres.
Centreline Method: Measure the overall width of rim (Distance “X”), halve this measurement to find centreline then measure backspace (Distance “A”).
Subtract “A” from “X/2” and you now have the centreline offset, which in Australia is written 35P or 10N to denote either positive or negative centreline offset. In Europe, centreline offset is usually written ET35 or ET10 etc.
NOTE: The centreline offset measurement is “rim width dependant”, ie. as the width of the rim changes, so does the centreline offset, eg. if you have 14 x 6 wheels with 47P offset and would like to fit 14 x 7 alloys, then the same offset in 14 x 7 is 35P. In both instances, the backspace remains at 135mm.
